The Wyre Forest Lacemakers
Exhibition at The Hollies 8 Jan to 31 Mar 2020
Wyre Forest Lacemakers meet monthly in north Worcester. They have just celebrated their 25th anniversary. They have always enjoyed group projects, and some are represented in the exhibition. It started with a major project, a Wallhanging for Worcester General Hospital, which can still be viewed on the floor above the reception area. The ‘cakes’ were another example which inspired the group. The latest project, our canal scene, is displayed at many local waterways events.
The group make many types of lace from traditional to more contemporary lace, and the exhibition represents all tastes.
This exhibition will also be open on Saturdays 1 February and 7 March.
