Torchon and Bucks Point Mini bunting – for shop

This publication originates from a set of Bucks Point letters and numbers bunting designed by Sharon Scothern which she generously offered to The Lace Guild in August 2025.  The Lace Guild Publications team loved the idea but thought it would be good to also have an equivalent Torchon set of letters and numbers.  This is the combined publication of mini bunting.

There are two sets of mini bunting patterns, one Torchon the other Bucks Point.  There is a pattern for each letter and number in both styles of lace (36 of each) plus a heart and a blank for your own central design or to use as a blank between words.  The patterns are identical for the two laces but are different grid angles and the lace stitches vary between the styles.  The letters and numbers are created with gimps and seed beads.  Each pattern is just under 6.1cm wide, the Torchon versions are 11.8cm long and the Bucks point 8.1cm.

There are basic working instructions for both styles of lace as well as indicative working diagrams, there is a gimp diagram for each letter/number.  The publication also includes a link to a YouTube video with full details for working one of the Torchon pieces, recognising that those learning Torchon may want to work some mini bunting, the video is 67 minutes long and shows all stages of the working alongside the relevant working diagrams.

Use the bunting include stringing it for an event, create a name, printing on a T-shirt.
