Lace Guild Lockdown Exhibition

We have all had more time to stay at home and make lace this year. We thought it would be nice to share this in an online exhibition “Lace Guild Lockdown”. This could simply be a project you have finished or a new design, perhaps relating to the virus (those images are quite lacy), spending more time at home, or maybe nature returning as streets are quiet. Check our Facebook and website for further details and we look forward to seeing what you come up with. We plan to hold a physical exhibition of Lockdown Lace sometime next year and we hope we will be able to borrow some of our favourite pieces. In the meantime stay safe, make lace! Staffing and COVID-19
Please note that for the foreseeable future, due to the social distancing measures we have put into place for the staff, there will be fewer staff available each day. could we therefore ask for your patience and request that those members who need to contact the office do so by email if possible, rather than by telephone.
Cancellation of AGM and Fringe

Due to the current pandemic we have unfortunately had to cancel the Lace Guild AGM and Fringe. We have consulted the Charity Commission about the cancellation of our AGM and they recognise the need to be flexible in the current situation. We will consider the options for holding an AGM later in the year.
Those who have booked for the Fringe Workshops or Banquet will receive a full refund of any money paid, however please be aware that due to current Government restrictions this may take longer than usual, so please be patient. If you have booked accommodation at the Holiday Inn Peterborough West you should contact them directly to cancel without penalty.

Closure of Museum and Office
In line with recent UK Government advice, the Lace Guild will temporarily close to visitors from Wednesday 17 March until further notice. At this time our priority has to be the health of our visitors, volunteers and staff, but we will continue to review this situation and provide further updates via our website and social media.
See Stop Press below for other cancellations as they are advised to us.
